Privacy Policy

This site is a small brochure site for Ann Wicker’s freelance editing and writing-coaching work. It does not run advertising, does not track visitors across other sites, and does not sell or share personal information.

What this site collects

The contact form. If you send a message, the name, email address and message you type are emailed to Ann so she can reply. That is the only reason the information is used. It is kept in her email for as long as it is useful to the conversation, and it is not added to any mailing list.

Server logs. Like most websites, the hosting provider records standard technical information about each request — IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. These logs are used for security and for keeping the site running, and they are deleted on the host’s normal schedule.

There are no comments, no visitor accounts, no file uploads and no analytics or advertising trackers on this site.

Cookies

This site does not set cookies to track you. The hosting and security layer may set a short-lived technical cookie to tell real visitors from automated traffic. Anyone logging in to manage the site will have the usual WordPress session cookies.

Other services

Google Fonts. The site’s typefaces are served by Google Fonts, so loading a page makes a request to Google, which receives your IP address as part of that request. Nothing else is sent.

Links out. Some pages link to other people’s websites. Once you follow one of those links you are on their site, under their privacy policy, not this one.

Your choices

You are welcome to ask what information is held about you, to ask for a copy, or to ask for it to be deleted. Write to the email address on the contact page and Ann will take care of it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted on this page.
